Fine arts teachers learned alongside working artists and fine arts educators during a day of professional development that featured a special focus on Latin culture in the arts. The day culminated with a Salsa performance by high school students who had just learned the steps. I couldn't help but join in!

It was a pleasure listening to World Languages Supervisor Jessica Haxhi interview SCSU men's basketball coach Scott Burrell about the commonalities between coaching and teaching successfully. In addition to his coaching, Mr. Burrell was a standout collegiate athlete for UCONN basketball and had an eight-year NBA and international career, famously winning a championship with the 1997–98 Chicago Bulls.
