Congratulations to the students and staff of Engineering and Science University Magnet School and Co-Operative Arts and Humanities High School! Both schools were named to the Advanced Placement Honor Roll, which recognizes schools that are driving participation and achievement in AP courses. #NHPS
Mauro Sheridan's Black History Legacy Quit Committee coordinated the creation of a beautiful quilt in honor of Black History Month. Our theme is Dream Big, Stand Tall. #NHPS
At our latest "Lunch & Learn" career exposure event, Hill Regional Career students got to learn about careers in the world of pharmacy from representatives from UCONN School of Pharmacy and CVS. They even got to practice administering vaccines!
The Off-Campus Classroom at the Hillhouse site, joined other transition programs from around the area, to celebrate the second annual Transition Dance on the SCSU campus. This event, sponsored by the East Haven Transition Academy, brought our students together to celebrate friendship, personal growth, and all the possibilities still to come.

We strongly encourage you to fill out the survey and share honestly what is already going well and what could be better. The survey is an important tool for NHPS and our schools to learn about how you and, most importantly, your student experience school.
Helpful information about the survey:
You will receive a link to the survey from CustomInsight, a third party company, as an email and text message on February 2, 2026 .Your responses are anonymous.
The survey will take 10-15 minutes.
You can complete the survey on your phone or on a computer and can pause the survey at any time and return to it on any device.
The survey will be open from February 2-27, 2026.
The Climate Survey will ask questions about the learning environment, belonging and community, staff-student relationships, bullying and safety, and discipline.
How will we use the survey response data?
The results of each school’s survey will be used to improve the culture and learning environment at your child’s school.
Responses will be synthesized to pull out larger trends so we can celebrate our successes and make plans for improvement based on our larger community’s feedback.
The results will also inform Safe Schools Plans and our Strategic Plan.
