📍Conte crew had an incredible in-service day at Lost in New Haven, diving into our city’s rich story from 1638 to the present. We spent the afternoon exploring immersive exhibits, connecting our own family histories to artifacts, and brainstorming ways to bring these living lessons back to our students.

🏛️ We cannot wait for our Conte Lions to experience this cultural hub and see their own place in New Haven’s ongoing story!

🦁 A huge thank you to Rob Greenberg for the inspiring tour, Ms. Rosa for connecting our crew with the museum, and Steff Smelser for the endless educational opportunities that the future will hold for our Conte Lions.

Students from Cross, Hillhouse, and Metropolitan’s Education & Leadership Pathway attended the 6th annual CT State Educators Rising conference at Southern Connecticut State University. They heard from education leaders, sharpened their student leadership skills, learned about college admissions and the teacher prep path, and even got a taste of campus life with lunch in a dining hall! #EducatorsRising #FutureEducators #wc_edpathway #officialmbahappenings

Our 3rd-grade bilingual stars from Mrs. Pasan’s room at Truman School have been busy! As part of our HMH program for ELA and Spanish, our students brought their learning to life by performing the play "Gigi y el anillo mágico."

To make sure every student from Pre-K through 5th grade could join the magic, we transformed our school library into a theater for two full weeks! Our talented performers took the stage for 7 different shows, demonstrating incredible stamina, bilingual fluency, and school spirit.

Seeing our students bridge their classroom curriculum with such a grand performance was a moment of pure Truman pride!

We were honored to welcome Superintendent Dr. Negron, our district leadership, and our bilingual district coaches to our performances. A huge thank you as well to our school coaches, Principal, and Assistant Principal for supporting and joining us! Having our leadership team in the audience cheering on our 3rd graders made this special "HMH in Action" moment even more memorable.

What a sweet Pi Day at Clinton Avenue School! 🥧📐

Before the messy fun began, we took a moment to celebrate our hardworking Cougars. A huge shout-out to our students with Perfect Attendance and those who showed incredible Winter Math Growth! 📈

To wrap up the day, some lucky winners got to "Pie-a-Teacher" in honor of 3.14. It’s safe to say the Cougars know how to work hard and play hard! We are so proud of you all! 🐾✨

This year, every grade level is participating in the Data Wise process at Fair Haven School. At the last staff meeting, each grade level created a poster highlighting their Data Wise process up to now. Staff were able to share their posters with the entire staff. After, staff then participated in a gallery walk to share their noticings and wonderings for each grade level. It has been wonderful participating in Data Wise and we are excited to continue the work.

7th and 8th grade students from John S. Martinez Sea & Sky STEM Magnet School attended the Success Leadership Conference at the Hulbert Outdoor Center in Fairlee, Vermont . Students were selected to attend based on demonstrated leadership qualities and investment in the learning community.

Students participated in team building challenges and leadership seminars. Working in project groups, students researched local non-profits. Students reflected on their community, learned how to form community partnerships, and presented ideas to one another. By the end of the summit, several groups had already scheduled meetings with organization leaders to discuss future collaborations. Students who attended the trip will use the skills they learned to lead a school-wide community day on World Kindness day.

AMPS Career Day at Wilbur Cross High School gave students the opportunity to learn from people working in arts, media and public service what might be possible if they pursue careers in these fields. When students hear real stories about career journeys, challenges, and successes, it makes those possibilities feel more real and more attainable. #NHPS
