5th , 6th and 7th grade students from Truman School learned that forests are not only beautiful places to visit and enjoy together on a hike, but also living infrastructure where every part depends on the others to survive. Trees give us oxygen, support pollination, and help manage our water.
Our students also use the trails to exercise while learning how to protect the environment. They understand that to preserve our forests, we must recycle and pack out any trash we bring in.

Mrs. Marchitto’s first graders at Truman School had the absolute best time getting messy and creative last week! They traded standard school supplies for squeeze bottles and rubber bands to tie-dye their very own custom t-shirts.

From folding to squirting bright colors, everyone got to show off their unique style. Now, these awesome shirts are getting ready for the big field day!
