What a wonderful evening we shared in our cafeteria at Truman school! Families came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by cooking delicious traditional dishes and creating colorful trifolds filled with information about their countries.

The cafeteria was filled with flavors, stories, and pride as we learned from one another and celebrated the beauty of our diverse cultures.

A huge thank you to all the families and teachers who organized and participated in this memorable event—you made it truly special!

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage, Truman school came alive with color and joy as students and staff proudly paraded with flags and traditional clothing, honoring the rich cultures that make up our community. 🌎❤️

The celebration continued with wonderful dances performed by our K–6 students, filling the room with energy, pride, and rhythm. 💃🕺

At last night's Board of Education meeting, Connecticut Treasurer Erick Russell congratulated New Haven Public Schools on our new partnership with Connecticut Financial Scholars, a nonprofit organization that provides curriculum, teacher training, and enrichment programming to support high-quality financial education.
