Fair Haven School's annual Hispanic Heritage celebration featured songs, dances, musical performances, poems , and more from our staff and our students. There was a poster contest sponsored by ARTE Inc., as well. It was wonderful to see so many different cultures being celebrated. Thank you to all the distinguished guests who came to see the performances. Everyone loved the celebration, and we are already looking forward to next year’s celebration! #NHPS
Students at Truman School enjoyed the best of a recent half-day! To celebrate, our amazing specials team organized a special "Tiger Day" event. Students spent their specials time rotating through fun activities: playing high-energy games in the gym, getting creative with arts and crafts, and grabbing some treats at the snack station.

The initial round of School Continuous Improvement Reviews is complete, and our new peer-to-peer triad model is already delivering results. Principals’ feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing the value of constructive peer feedback and the unique opportunity it provides for trusted, collaborative problem-solving. #NHPS

Arts & Ideas High School Fellowship Program:
The Arts & Ideas High School Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are eager to explore their creativity and gain real-world experience in the arts—at no cost.
This FREE, fully funded, semester-long fellowship allows students to:
- Earn 3 College Credits at Gateway
- Work Behind the Scenes at the Arts & Ideas festival
- Engage Directly with artists, mentors, and community leaders

What a day we had for the Truman School Walkathon! The weather was absolutely perfect, and the joy and community spirit were off the charts! Seeing all our students and families walking together was truly inspiring.

Congratulations to the 2024 inductees of the Lee-Career High School Hall of Fame, whose plaques were unveiled yesterday, as well as to the 2026 inductees, announced to the public. Thank you for serving as beacons of hope for our #NHPS students, who will undoubtedly be inspired by your journeys and accomplishments.
John S. Martinez Sea & Sky STEM Magnet School hosted a Manufacturing Month event for 8th graders. Students participated in an interactive advanced manufacturing video game called Maker Mojo, created by Skillionaire, in partnership with Penn Globe/MATCH and skillsgapp.
Angelina Dusa, school counselor, coordinated the event with Marcia LaFemina and Tina Zwolinski to provide this hands-on learning experience for students. Ms. LaFemina is president and CEO of Penn Globe and board chair of MATCH, while Ms. Zwolinski is co-founder and CEO of skillsgapp.
