U.S. Grant is an academic summer program for talented and motivated middle school students from New Haven public and parochial schools. The program is run by Yale undergraduates under the supervision of a board composed of educators and community members. Learn more about the program and access the application on their website. The program is held on Yale's campus from June 29th through July 30th, and students can apply now! Please note the deadline to apply is February 27th.

Plory, from iReady, came to visit the students at Truman last Thursday. Plory wanted to be sure to tell all the students to use the math strategies they have been learning, to use their scrap paper, and to read the question three times. Clinton Avenue students are so grateful to our community partners from our garden who donated over 375 pairs of gloves for our students! Everyone who came to school today got a pair! 🧤#NHPS

Students in our Business & Communications Pathway explored finance at Bank of America. Digital Media & Tech students gained hands-on experience in broadcasting through activities at MakeHaven and WTNH. Education & Leadership students stepped into their “teacher” shoes, leading activities for elementary students at our sister school, Conte West Hills. Meanwhile, students in our Law & Political Science Pathway explored careers in law —- a visit to Carmody Law Firm and the New Haven County Courthouse.

Back at school, students reflected on their experiences and enthusiastically shared their learning with one another— a memorable and meaningful day for Metro!

Mr. Nunez's and Ms. Morales' second grade class are celebrating over 350 green lessons earned on iReady Math. They worked really hard!!
