Join us on Thursday, March 12th at 8:30 AM as we proudly celebrate Read Across America with our partners from Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) and United Way. This special literacy event brings the joy of stories to life and encourages our scholars to Read, Grow, and Inspire, just like the theme shown in this year’s beautiful poster. Together, we will spark imagination, nurture a love of reading, and build meaningful connections that support literacy throughout our community. We look forward to a joyful morning filled with books, creativity, and inspiration for all our students.

By dining in and presenting the event flyer, Texas Roadhouse will generously donate 10% of your total food purchase to Barack Obama Magnet University School. Your participation directly helps enrich our school programs and supports the wonderful learning experiences we strive to provide our Scholars.

New Haven: “This is Home” Community Art Event
The Yale Center for British Art invites youth ages 5–24 to create artwork exploring the meaning of “home.” The event will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 11 am to 4 pm. Selected works will be showcased at a special exhibition at City Hall on April 9.

We are excited to celebrate Read Across America Day with our wonderful scholars! Families are encouraged to look over the event details and help scholars join the fun by dressing as a favorite book character.
