An amazing group of Truman School third graders, including both bilingual and regular students, had an inspiring day at the Yale University Art Gallery!
Students explored the museum on a guided tour, discovering art in new ways by closely examining paintings and sculptures, focusing on colors, shapes, and form.
The best part? They became artists themselves! Through fun, hands-on activities, students created their own incredible art collages using felt , putting their artistic observations into practice. A fantastic day of creative learning!
Thanks to the Education Department at #yaleartgallery for organizing the trip and the activities for our students. #NHPS

Third grade students in Mrs. Pasan's room at Truman School aren't just memorizing facts—they're building a deep understanding of multiplication by creating Arrays Puzzles!
This activity requires them to connect different representations:
Visual Arrays (rows\times columns)
Repetitive Sums (equal groups/skip counting) and
Formal Equations
By successfully linking these pieces, they show they know exactly how multiplication can be represented.
